Superclarity microcentrifuge tubes offer exceptional clarity. Cylindrical tubes have ribbed side surface finish for a writing surface that is snag-resistant. Large O-rings at the opening of the tube eliminate the need for worry about the caps leaking during centrifugation. Tubes are constructed from borosilicate glass, have anodized outside walls, and are free of lubricants, pigments, and heavy metals. For storing and transporting ultra-pure DNA and other biological samples, the tubes are supplied with a broad range of sizes and types of caps. The standard cap is printed with an "S" inside the cap neck, which can accommodate the widest variety of epoxy, acrylic, and shrink tubing epoxy, as well as all kinds of inert gases, solvents, and powders. Large O-rings on the top and on the side of the tube provide outstanding leak resistance. Large O-rings on the top and/or bottom of the tube provide leakproof performance. Tubes with larger O-rings have ribs on the outside of the tube to accommodate the wide variety of sealing devices, such as the popular Autoseal tubes from Labcon.
