Whatman Grade No. 1 Filter Paper, 1001-918 is ideal for the preliminary filtration of crude oils, edible mushrooms, hops, hop pickings, leaching liquors, rectifying sugars and other crudes. Used as the pre-filter in the preparatory steps of oil recovery from edible crops, as well as in the final stages of recovering liquors after distillation. Also used extensively in the pre-treatment stage of the production of vinegars, kerosene and dehydrated milks for the alcoholic fermentation of grapes, whey and other aqueous extracts. The paper is impervious to virtually all oils and will not burn, rot or mildew. Whatman Grade No. 1 Filter Paper is the pre-filter of choice for the majority of brewers and distillers in the industry of oil recovery and in the preparation of various breweries advertising Whatman brand products in the United States and in Canada.
