Whatman No.54 Quantitative Filter Paper, Low Ash is designed for the pre-treatment of sewage and waste waters. Whatman Paper 54 Quantitative Pre-Filters improve the removal of condensed matter and precipitates from raw sewage before it reaches the plant intake. This feature also prevents unpleasant odors from forming in your plant based systems. Whatman Paper 54 Low Ash is ideal for the pre-treatment of raw sewage and waste water streams before they reach the plant intake. Each Whatman Grade 54 Low Ash Pre-Filter has an impervious surface allowing rapid removal of waste water from septic tanks and drains. The paper absorbs condensed matter and precipitated matter from precipitated matter so that it does not run off into the atmosphere. The paper does not change in strength from one batch of paper to the next. It is important to note that Whatman Grade No.54 Low Ash Paper neither grades nor allows rapid recognition of odors nor changes in odors during the aging process. This means that if a problem does occur in the aging process, the paper will not develop a "back-pressure" as it dries. Usually Whatman Grade No.54 quantitative papers have a two-year shelf life from date of manufacture.
