Whatman PS Water Repellent Phase Separating Paper, 2200-125 is phase separated paper that combines the best qualities of the finest cotton muslin and the finest cellulose based paper. Between the two extreme phases of cotton, the PS paper shrinks to retain and enhance the fibers of the cotton and to provide an enlarged window for maximum recovery of the cotton fibers. To enhance recovery even further, during the process of removing the muslin phase it is necessary to pre-moisten the paper with a suitable dye. This is done by rubbing the fibers together. Whatman PS Water Repellent Phase Separating Paper is recommended for use in the separation of the cotton phase from the muslin before immersing in water. Whatman PS (Phase Separating) Paper comes as a pack of 100.
