This high-quality, pure cellulose paper is impervious to nonhazardous liquids and gases. When used as a cartridge, the paper funnels gases and liquids to an exit port preventing sampling or re-distribution. The paper is brown with cream-colored cores and surfaced rounded to prevent paper dust and other particles from a liquid sample from contacting the internal surface of the filter. The filter paper funnel is saturated with liquid and draws it through the entire paper body for sample recovery and retention. The retained liquid is mainly in the lower half of the funnel; as more liquid is filtered off, the funnel reduces the volume of paper used.
