There are two grades of Whatman® Quality White Filter Paper: Grade 415 and Grade 28320-100. Whatman Grade 415 Filter Paper is pure, high quality, unbleached sulphurous and chlorine white paper made from wood pul- nios, and unsized. Grade 415 Filter Paper is used primarily for the pre-filtration of gasoline and solvents from tank cleanings, and also for the clean-up of accidents resulting from oil and solvent splashes, and for the pre-filtration of gasoline and oil vapors from carbide tungsten carbide rotary pans and other carbides and antimony bearing liquids. It is widely used in cosmetic preservative systems and can be used in cosmetic manufacturing and in the petroleum and petrochemical industries for the collection of plant and animal wastes prior to shipment.
