These ruggedly constructed 16-ounce, shatterproof safety water bottles provide superior protection against breakage. A laminated stem helps prevent siphoning and leaking, while a unique polyethylene (LDPE) cap with a dispensing spout helps prevent chemical contact between contents. The spout is unbreakable with a threaded cap that opens to a funnel-like spout, designed to make dispensing easier. Constructed from borosilicate glass, these bottles are suitable for use with water, most acids and alkalis, and even organic solvents. The polyethylene (PS) coating on the outer surface of the bottle helps prevent chemical contact between the sample and the bottle. The bottle has a polyethylene (PS) foam gasket to ensure long-lasting leakproof performance. The cap threads onto the safety bottle, which has a slotted mouth, provides a greater seal with the safety bottle. The polyethylene body (including the spout) is also designed to prevent contact between the sample and the bottle.
