As some of you may know, it takes a lot of air to make an owl call sound like a cottonmouth. It takes an incredibly moist surface that can sometimes take on a nasty tone if not given enough air. It took a while for me to figure out how to make one myself, and now that I have, I think I found a winner in the Black Hornet. This call screams out high, hollow yelps that are great for locating bucks and locating groups of hens. It can be used by an individual or a group of 2 or 3 callers. The Black Hornet is similar to the Prairie Blaster, but the tone is more crisp and defined. With the addition of a few more exotic species, the Black Hornet should be a very effective call for you.
