Product Info for Woodhaven Calls Woodhaven Custom Calls The Red Zone 3-pack Mouth Calls
The Red Zone is a 3-pack mouth call designed for the latex end user. The Slotted Ovoid and Straight Back Ovoid calls are designed with an ovoid reed and a latex slot in the slot. This enables the call to project laterally rather than ventrally, which can help hide a cracked or injured tongue when blowing. To prevent sore lips, the Slotted Ovoid latex is avented across the tongue and features a slight indentation. This helps the tongue to stay on the calling surface at all times, which is critical when blowing mouth calls. Like most of our mouth calls, Slotted Ovoid calls can be used with very little air pressure, which is a big advantage when calling with an offhand technique. Slotted Ovoid calls can also be found on our double reed bugles, which allows for much more air to be expelled with less air pressure.
