We just replaced the waffle pattern with a smooth aka "Slab Side". Outside of the aesthetic change to smooth versus waffle, the overall profile of the magazine is thinner by .090" versus the MAG47mil Gen 2. The thickness of the MAG47 Elite is 1.075" so it will more easily fit with tight magazine pouches, work with aftermarket magazine wells, fit into the Galil Ace Gen1, and more easily work with table top loaders.
