Look at the pictures and the top pic shows the underside of this part. Notice there are tabs at each end of the part. I guess these go in the keymod hole /slot. When I installed it , the nose of my QD ring would interfere with the hand guard, the tab...

Product Info for Yankee Hill Machine Keymod Q.d. Sling Adapter Qd Swivel Not Included

This adapter base, when installed in a keymod rail, allows one to attach a sling with a swivel stud to a Keymod hand guard. The sling swivel stud allows you to attach a sling with a swivel nut to the sling, thus preventing it from slipping off. The sling swivel's retaining screw allows you to remove it and reinstall easily. This prevents your sling from becoming unseated from the swivel during use. It also acts as a locking swivel when the sling is attached and secured using the included quick detach (QD) sling swivel. Since the adapter base is in the same plane as the QD swivel it prevents it from slipping and binding.image
