was easy to use when i figured out that i had to remove the relay lens built into the focuser.then iwas able to re aline the optics with no problem. i am an itermediat observer Pros: easy to use, quailty constructiony Cons: instructions could be better
Most Helpful Negative Review difficult and useless
The tool fits very loosely in the focuser to begin with so I don't trust it's accuracy. The bottom is recessed to make the fit even looser and it needs to be pulled almost all the way out to use as a sight tube in my XT10, verdict- useless as a sight tube. The cheshire part is just impossible to see...

My 10" garage sale reflector has had a rough life. You can eyeball the collimation and get it pretty close. This gizmo will get it right on fast. Read the directions!
Pros: inexpensive

celestron collimation eyepiece

Very easy to use. A must have for checking mirrors in a reflector telescope. Worked great on a celestron astromaster 130 eq telescope.

For a great collimation

This is one of two collimation tool I have. I really like it. I stayed away from the lasers because of the cost and mixed reviews. This tool is easy to use and the instructions are actually understandable (not a bad translation)
