Perfcet compliment for the Taurus TCP

by glk17l, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on April 24, 2018
The sights are not too good on the little Taurus TCP, like most "point & shoots". The Crimson Trace Laserguard takes the guess work out of aiming. It is small, light weight, and hold zero after shooting. The off/on button is in the correct position to avoid accidentally turning on while in your pocket, yet naturally accessible while shooting. The holster that come with it is perfect for concealed carry in the pocket. A good investment for you "Point and shoot".

Best accessory for your TCP

by Tominator, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on February 29, 2016
Purchased a TCP at a really good price with anticipation of giving it to my daughter in a few years. It's a fine little pistol, but the fixed iron sights are only good in well lit scenarios. A carry gun needs to be 24/7 and this is the best laser available. There is no thinking about where/how to turn it on. You grasp the pistol and you're ready to put the dot on the bady. I have added this laser and a Talon grip wrap and it feels and functions great. Throw in an ankle holster and this is the most comfortable pistol to carry I've seen.
Pros:
  • Ease of use and operation
Cons:
  • pricey, but worth it
Best Used for:
  • Defense.

Taurus TCP laser

by Wendell, from KS, United States Written on January 31, 2016
Installation was very simple and easy. Size and shape were good for my present holsters. Laser was bright enough to use in daylight. My finger isn't quite fat enough to comfortably hold activation button but I made a grip out of leather which solved that problem. Laser needs to be removed to replace battery and I hope it doesn't need to be zeroed in again after battery replacement.
Pros:
  • good value.
  • Easy installation and adjustment
Cons:
  • Battery replacement
Best Used for:
  • Hitting target

Typical Crimson Trace Product

by Ratzloff, from KS, United States Written on February 18, 2015
The Laserguard for the Taurus TCP is an excellent product. It's easily installed and works great. The laser comes on as you get a firing grip, no buttons to press or levers to move. It blends in with the lines of the gun and looks like it belongs there. The holster is a little small. I spent several evenings pressing the gun into the holster and pulling it out repeatedly. It does work but I have to "flick" the holster off with my ring finger as I make my draw as it's still a little snug. It is sticky enough that it will pull the pocket out when you remove the holster. The laser itself it a typical Crimson Trace product: EXCELLENT

Great product

by Billy T, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on February 17, 2015
I have purchased several of these and they work great . If you want to improve your accuracy, either at the range or for self defense. I tried a cheap Chinese made laser and it would not adjust properly so it is useless. Go with the USA made brand, you won't be sorry.

Fast & loud

by Ompy, from PA, United States Written on October 14, 2014
We both have the Taurus 380 hand guns with crimson trace laser sights on them. It is amazing how fast you can draw and shoot without hunting for the open sights. With bifocals, that can be a real challenge. When we let a friend at the range try their luck with the crimson trace laser, they just love it. I have a 357 magnum Ruger Blackhawk with a scope on it. I wonder if I could put one of these right on the gun with the scope still on it? This could be very interesting.
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry.

Sight and Holster

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on March 9, 2013
Bought the sight with the holster, hoping to save time trying to find one that would fit the aftermarket sight and unfortunately the gun will not fit in the holster with the sight installed, just too tight.
Just go for the sight without the holster, save the money.
Pros: Laser brighter than factory installed S&W bodygaurd laser
Cons: Gun will not fit in the holster
