Florida tactical Weapons, Inc

by Harry, from United States, FL Written on November 13, 2014
Product is placed on the Savage 110BA for sale through my firearms business. The 110BA is chambered for the 338 Lupua round and the Millett has performed very well with both accuracy and reliability. I am purchasing another today that makes a total of seven....

Future Sharp Shooter

by Mike, from United States, VA Written on October 27, 2014
I purchased this scope to go on my Savage model 10 FCP-K to do some long range target shooting. The scope was packaged well and was easy to mount. The optics are clear except on extreme magnification where it's like looking through a straw but that's to be expected. The lighted reticle Is nice and the brightness can be adjusted. I participated In an event this weekend and was surprised that I only had to turn the scope up to 14-15 to see well enough to make the 900 yard shot on the range. I ended up using that setting all the way through the match from 100 to 900. I was on a budget and did not want to spend the big money on the name brand like Vortex or Night force and for the money this was a great buy. Save your money and buy this scope....
Pros:
  • Clear optics
  • Inexpensive
  • Excellent value
Cons:
  • scope rings to high

Great Scope @ Twice the Price

by Bird Dog, from United States, TX Written on October 5, 2014
I have this scope mounted on a Savage 16 .300 WSM and couldn't be happier. I bought lower rings, scope level and a 35mm lapping bar and can not describe how much I enjoy this combination! Do my own reloading and can cover 6 shot @ 100yds with a dime.
Never have had a problem and have put many shots through the rifle....

Long Range

by Ted Stall, from United States, FL Written on August 31, 2014
Great scope for the money. Tought for set up with the 35mm tube. Cant get a reasonable priced lapping bar for a 35mm. Ring that come with it are too high, had to buy the low rings so increased the total price a bit....
Pros:
  • Excellent value
Cons:
  • None

50 bmg

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, IN Written on March 29, 2014
I have this mounted on a 50 BMG rifle. It handles the punishment from this massive cartridge without any problem. It holds zero and is precise when changing elevation for different range targets. It returns to zero perfectly.
Pros: accurate, repeatability, clear, smooth operating, ...

Outstanding Value - Very Good Scope

by JLT, from United States, NY Written on November 18, 2013
Excellent first impressions. This scope appears to be well-made and the optical clarity is right on up there with scopes costing much, much more. I mounted it on a .25-06 Encore Pro Hunter for a bit of a shakedown and it passed the box test with flying colors. The adjustment locks take some getting used to, but that's not meant as a criticism. This scope will find a permanent home on a custom .260 Rem Ackley Improved that I'm having built and I can't wait to stretch its legs with this scope.

Given the features and the quality, one would be hard-pressed to find a better value in a scope for long range work.
Pros: Clarity, accuracy of adjustments, overall value
Cons: It's a big scope . . . ...

Nice scope for the budget!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WY Written on November 8, 2013
Optics & reticle allow engagement of "beer can" size targets @ 1000 yds. & H.U.T. silhouettes @ 1 mile (though haven't tested it in xtreme mirage environment). IMHO, this scope is intended for large, long range, "overwatch" type platforms, & seems very capable so far!
Pros: I like the reticle for long range purposes.
Cons: Cost of tools to properly mount 35mm tube....

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 23, 2013
the lrs-1 is an awesome scope for the money it has alot of the features of scope costing 4-5x as much its alittle on the heavy side and the rings it comes with are really tall (tall enough for a flat-top ar-15) would definitely buy another
Pros: clear glass, wide field of view, lots of features
Cons: weight...

Not worth the money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 15, 2013
Bought this to use on my savage 10pc in .308. I broke 2 of them. One failed the side focus the other failed the zoom. I installed a muzzle brake on the gun, put a one piece mount on and changhed the rings and then installed a 3rd scope. It lasted longer but it too failed the side focus. Unaccecptable. Bought a Vortex Viper PST FFP.
Pros: price
Cons: FRAGILE, size, ...

Great scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on September 22, 2013
I used this scope on my Savage 110ba 338 Lapua, after mounting scope (BTW I purchased low rings separately, perfect height)I removed the bolt and looked through bore to 100yd target centering perfectly, then with out moving gun I looked through scope and windage was spot on and all I had to do was click down 6-7 clicks to get reticle on target, loaded a mag and inserted bolt, first shot was 1/2" off of dead center, I thing I flinched a little too as that was my first shot with a 338 Lapua. Can't recommend Millet scope on the Savage 110BA 338 Lapua enough! So far it's a tack driver at 324yds (Need a longer range now!!)
Pros: Value, quality, craftmanship
Cons: none...
Would recommend: Yes
