I see that some people have written negative reviews on a few points. I have to say as a person that enjoys precision shooting, that i find the high level of intensity of this sight in daylight as well as the gentle illumination in dark, are perfect for a sight. The daytime brightness is perfect for high ambient light situations as it draws the eye. And the lamp light of the night, or low level light sight is non distracing for target acquisition.
Pros:
- Rugged, no batteries, self adjusting brightness.
Cons:
- Not much. Wish it was cheaper, but i wouldn't want a cheaper lesser quality product.

The optic is nice. But, I tried twice to get a new optic, not a used one. I checked the serial number. They just reboxed the one I returned and sent it back to me for another try hoping I wouldn't notice.

I have both an rmr06 and this dual illuminated 7moa amber dot model as well. I really like the dual illuminated, like other reviews have said, if you are in a dark room and looking into a more well lite area, especially using a high lumen light, the dot will wash out. But hey, thats what your irons are for. The fiber optic works great and its stupid bright in the day time. That will never run out. If you want it, just buy it. I dont regret it one bit.

Awesome sight. 7moa amber does not wash out much in bright light. It’s durable and you never have to worry about replacing a battery as it’s dual illuminated. I mounted it to a glock 40, 10mm and it handles recoil amazingly well with no shirt or loss of zero.

I bought a demo model of the Trijicon dual illuminated RMR. Couldn’t be happier. The dot is a little soft in low light conditions but well worth it considering other models where you have to fumble around to turn the optic on. I have about 1,000 rounds through my glock 34 with this optic. Works every time!

I've owned several different models of RMR from the electronic adjustables, to the green triangle dual illuminated, and most recently, this model. For those who are on the fence about deciding whether to go with the amber or green reticle, I personally highly recommend amber. I find the green reticle to be a total disappointment and much dimmer in all lighting conditions when compared side by side with the amber. The green reticle RMRs are practically useless indoors. When paired with a flashlight, the green completely washes out while the amber is still visible for the most part. However, the electronic red dot RMR beats both in this aspect as it doesn't wash out nearly as much as the battery-free models. When aiming from a low light setting into a brighter setting, the amber dot tends to wash out a bit too, being quite dim, but is still visible unless you're in total darkness aiming out a window during the middle of a sunny day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the amber dual illuminated rmr.

A wonderful red dot sight that fits all RMR mounting patterns (as expected) and requires no batteries for operation. More than bright enough in all the circumstances one would use this for and is powered by radioactive tritium which should provide illumination for some 12-15 years.
Pros:
- good warranty/glass/reticle/andmore
- No batteries and always on
- rmr Pattern
Best Used for:
- Pistol and mid caliber rifles

I purchased this back in Feb of this year. The light holds zero perfectly after the slide milling and the transition from light to dark is very manageable.
The best part being you don’t need to replace a battery saves both time and uncertainty in situations.
Optics planet had the best price and I look forward to using them again in the future!

Was on the fence about buying the dual illuminated version of the RMR. Pulled the trigger and ordered one. I love it. Read all the reviews about transitions from low light to bright light dot wash out problems, but it's really an exaggerated complaint. Does it happen? Yes. Is it a deal breaker? No. My battery powered red dots wash out also if you're not on a high setting. You'd have to then stand there and adjust brightness when you should be moving for cover. Got it!? No, I'm not a pro, but the dual illuminated models have exaggerated drawbacks. As long as you know what you're buying, it's a fantastic sight.
Pros:
- Lightweight, no batteries, fast.
Best Used for:
- Duty, home defense, hunting

great optic at a great price, rugged, easy to use, and mountable on a multitude of platforms. will surely buy again! the amber dot is easy to pick up and is on at all time given the dual illumination without the worry or need for batteries.
