The L states it's waist size 36-38, the XL states it's waist size 40-42. I am actually between 38 and 40. What size should I get? L or XL? Expert Answer

I would recommend going with the Extra-Large 5.11 Tactical Sierra Bravo Duty Belt (MPN:59505-019-XL). Since this belt is designed to be worn over your waist on top of other clothing, the XL would be most likely to fit best.

I've been using this duty belt for a couple of weeks and I've noticed that it's lighter and more comfortable than my previous duty belt.This belt is rigid and able to support all my duty gear while standing long hours on post.

Get the size right and you will love it. It is light and strong and can carry the load. I have worn mine for 9 months and it shows no wear. Much lighter than others I have tried. Runs a bit large so select the size carefully.
