Fits with effort, but that's a good thing.. Should "snap" when installing on both ends. AIMPOINT by Tim, Verified Owner, April 7, 2022
Aimpoint is top quality so this will be a VERY tight fit. Keeps the rain, dirt, snow etc out when closed. I was hoping it would be good quality and it was even better than I hoped! My first aimpoint so we will see how it goes at the range!

Lens Cover With ARD by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner, March 25, 2010
Due to the exact fit, I boiled about 5/8" of water in a frying pan, turned off the heat, then put the lens cover in the hot water, lens cap up, for 60 seconds... and slid the cover on to the Aimpoint. Made the installation easy! Pros: Very precise fi...
