Just Right
I'm a 36 and the large fit me right at the 3rd hole. I also have the XL for when I'm using my inside the waist holsters and that fits me also at the 4th or 3rd hole depending on the holster type. It's a bit stiff but very sturdy considering the width of the belt. Magazine holders that won't fit my thicker leather belts fit these because of the smaller width.

Order to your waist not the way western belts are measured (to the buckle loop, just leather). It was a little big(My order not the belt) so I bought another one.I really like this belt. I've went through several cheap ones and three expensive ones.

5.11, never forget
Great quality. What I've come to expect from 5.11 belt was a bit short compared to my normal waist size, so if you're right on the cusp of a size, I recommend ordering big. Sturdy holds gear securely right on your hip whee you need it.
