I have tried a number of different ambi charging handles, including some if the higher end ones, and I keep coming back to this one. I don't run supressors so I can't comment on how it works busting gas. But, I will say that under stress or while wearing gloves, I love the oversized charging handles. I am slowly transitioning all of my charging handles to the .308 and 5.56 versions of these.

If you’ve shot a high number of rounds in a day, you know having a wider charging handle release lever is very helpful in both quicker reset action and finger relief. This handle has a nice wide release with a little gripping to make the finer interaction nice.
Pros:
- Quality
- thicker finger release
- ambidextrous lever is a plus

Aero always makes quality parts, This is a perfect compliment to any 308 platform build. Perfect fit and easy install, I do like the right/left catch release, Only Con would be for a little larger handle...if you are placing an optic, I find it tough to grab and chamber, with fat fingers, definitely not a deal breaker but worth mentioning

This is a really nice charging handle as far as looks, feel and what seems to be quality materials. The problem for me is, after installing it into my Sig 716i it does not charge! It would not allow me to pull the BCG back at all. I tried removing and re-installing several times, with no success. I have 4 other charging handles that all work fine.

Running an AR-10 with a big piece of glass at any sort of reasonable eye relief means that you are going to be hating life if you run a run of an out of the box, run of the mill charging handle.
This was the case for me which is why I started shopping. My main criteria was that I needed a handle which was ambidextrous - you never know when a barrier’s corner will prevent you from clearing a discharge with the left side of the handle, so the entire paradigm around left-side on handles really needs to disappear - they simply don’t take into consideration that environments aren’t always perfect and they change on a dime, let alone the fact that you never know when you may need to switch hands to shoot depending on barriers or injuries.
I also wanted something that stuck out a fair bit. On my AR-15’s I run Strike Inudustries latchless handles with extended nubs and they are just AWESOME…but I couldn’t find a latchless system quite like that for the 10.
So yes, the bear-claw latch buttons hurt like a mother if you’re bare handed, but they are absolutely worth it because you never know if your environment will create a purchase problem (such as if it’s raining, snowing, or your hands are covered in grease) so despite their pain, they will assure you ALWAYS get ample purchase.
This handle is awesome and absolutely recommended

Love this charging handle. Accidentally bought the ar-15 version for my ar-10 but I liked it so much I kept it. It’s large and easy to grab and pull. I like it much butter than the radian raptor.

Great product. My .308 is happy with it and it’s easy to access and pull. I like this Aero precision.308 ambidextrous charging handle because it allows me to access the handle from either side of the firearm.

This dropped right into my Smith & Wesson M&P 10 and provided a larger and ambidextrous grip and release and is better quality that the factory charging handle. Very pleased. Makes pulling the bolt back easier on a .308 with its stronger buffer spring.

This thing is big which is needs to pull back the heavy 308 spring and buffer. Is built heavy duty and fits perfect. Handle is plenty wide which make it easy to charge even with a scope mounted above it.
