The reason I chose this sling instead of buying an original is because the originals have metal clips which scratch the finish on the gun. The leather connection points on this sling do not....and at this price...you won't find a better valuem
WAY TOO SMALL
This sling is excellent in quality, which makes it so unfortunate for its shortcomings in size. This really is a small sling. Im 6'0" 190 and I cant use it. I suppose it may be fine for walking in the woods, or if you're a 7 year old guerrilla, but having to be at the ready position in a timely fashion? Forget about it. Trust me, and spend a few bucks more on something else. I got a cheap magpul that works great for under $20.

No clip at the fore end
I should have looked more closely before purchasing as I did not realize that there is only a leather strap at both ends of the sling. I was expecting a clip at the fire end. The front strap is too wide for the fore end mounting loop in my WASR-10. Not a major problem; I just got creative with some 550 paracord and it’s good to go. I will probably order an HK clip at some point and run the leather strap through that. Length adjustments are somewhat difficult with the slide. I am not able to make 1-handed length adjustments due to the design of the slide and stiffness I. The sling, but that may change over time. All in all, I am happy with this purchase. It’s a no-frills sling that looks good on a traditional AK style rifle and will function just fine for my needs.

AK/SKS Sling Heavy Duty
This is the real thing. Good webbing and stitching, METAL hardware all around, no plastic rings and no 2-piece plastic studs, but 1-piece studs for REAL leather straps. Other makers claim metal hardware but I haven't found that to be true, despite photos showing metal. Others have faux leather.
