Most Helpful Positive Review Well made
With this type of product you really can't honestly state anything about it's performance until it has been in use for a year ot two! If your gun does not rust then it is excellent! I am a fan of silicone. This product is well saturated with it and the fabric stretches perfectly. I like it. Pros:...

Most Helpful Negative Review Disappointed
Coarse material and really too tight for a rifle with just a small scope. Others that I've used over the years were softer and had more stretchability. For some reason, my account does not show my recent order, so it looks to be a hassle to return it.

Allen Knit Gun Sock evaluation...........

by Ed, from NC, United States Written on September 12, 2016
The two gun socks I purchased I used to protect a Marlin 30-30 lever action rifle and a Garand training rifle. The knit material is strong but a little difficult to apply. The Marlin took almost fifteen minutes to slide the sock on. It's a very tight fit. The Garand took almost as long but after the first rifle was covered the second one went a little easier. It would help if an explanation came with the socks as to why the fit has to be so snug. In retrospect,I may have made the job a lot easier by inserting the barrel end of the rifle in the sock first instead of the rifle butt.

It's a gun sock

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on April 19, 2012
This seems like a good gun sock. It doesn't come unraveled if you catch a sight. It's way better for storage than those old, cheap cloth cases, which can hold moisture and promote rust.
Pros: Silicone impregnated, easy to use

Simple, easy to use, good quality

by Legacy Reviewer, from NE, United States Written on December 18, 2011
This isn't a particularly complicated item, but it still manages to impress. The material is thick enough to provide padding, even though that's not really what it's for. Stretches well enough to fit over my gun easily- not sure if a scoped rifle would fit, but it might. Great for that little bit of added protection while in my gun cabinet, without taking up a lot of space.

No I am not a anti-gun person, all for our rights. But the item I risked ordering and it turned out to be the best product out there.
For those who care, I use the Allen Gun Sock for my professional video camera slider. The slider nedds to be protect from dings and scratches and the gun sock works perfectly.
Pros: Very well made
