I bought this due to the price and it's reviews. I use it with PVS systems and it works beyond my expectations for s $40 unit. The 18650 batteries are a big plus with multiuse devices and modularity. Feel confident with the unit before purchase. Wonderful value.

Not a bad IR light. Switching from off to one of the settings is easy enough though I can't see much difference. The "zoom" feature however is very hard to adjust as it is exceedingly tight and the light body is tapered toward the rear and it seems I always twist off the battery cap instead of "zooming". Far too big to be a mountable light source, but doable.
All in all it is a serviceable IR source. Far more so when one considers its price compared to others.
Pros:
- Great price, decent light.
Cons:
- Big, heavy hard to adjust zoom.

This IR light is used to enhance the vision on night vision devices. It is nice. it is very bright and clear. alittle difficult to cut the device on when attached to the gun. the on'off switch is pretty tight do to it being brand new and not worked in much at all. but I DO like the device. its alittle on the heavy side. but doesn't bother me I'm a big guy. It's made from heavy duty aluminum. I can see that it is or should be very tough and do well in a accidental gun drop or hard bump. the mount is good as well. I see that it has like a 3 position dimmer switch but really I could not tell that it dimmed any at all on any setting. I wished it was alittle less bright my night vision is alittle sensitive to BRIGHT IR light and it is just alittle too much for my NV. All in all the price was great and I see it as a sturdy piece of equipment that should last a long time. It was also very clear light pattern. thanks
Pros:
- price was right
- Very clear
- very sturdy and strong
Cons:
- on the heavy side
- brighter than expected
- switch hard to turn on
Best Used for:
- Night vision devices PVS-14

i bought this ir 850 light to get more range on a pitch black night. wow, from ir 450 to ir 850, what a big difference. not as heavy duty I think as ATN's 850 ir, but half the price, I took a chance . Very happy with it. The only real con I can think off at the moment is when I narrowed the beam,at close range, you can see bars from the ir bulb looking thru the scope. This is not as noticeable at longer ranges or if you open up the pinpoint beam a little it disappears. I would recommend for a budget minded accessory. no battery or charger included but for me, it was all I needed.
Best Used for:
- extended range visability with night vision

Love this! Armasight XLR-IR850 - built extremely well. Rechargeable lithium battery, much better than replacing batteries (which may happen a lot since you can't tell if it's on with the naked eye, if you don't check the on/off switch). Replaced the ATN-850 that came with a ATN Pro X 4k night scope. This seems much better built and designed, works great!

Great IR illuminator. The light has a good flood and can focus to over 300 yards. You can not see the light with the naked eye and there is a very faint glow at the bulb. I give it 5 stars. The only drawback is the need for the rechargeable battery. I would prefer a AA or AAA battery because sometimes I can't get to electricity for a recharge.
Pros:
- Good light and long range
Cons:
- lithium rechargeable battery

Just what I was looking for in a long range IR. The beam adjustment Works great for long and shot range. Simple to use, not sure on battery life, the light has several settings for brightness and I have not experimented with them yet,

I have had two of these now and both turn off and dim out randomly and always shut off as soon as you shoot. I thought the first one was a fluke so I sent it back and the second one started doing the same thing. (A week out of the return window) I liked it so much that I purchased the afocal doubler to go with it and now I’m just beyond frustrated. This thing is junk. Works great when it works. But since it shuts off when your shoot and flickers most of the time it’s not worth it.
Update: I discovered that it’s not that unit itself that is faulty. It’s the battery that comes with it. The charger has dimples the battery and no longer makes solid connection. (It’s only been recharged 3 times). Comparing it to a spare battery I had it’s noticeably shorter. I switched out to the spare battery and have had no issues since. This illuminator is crazy bright. I highly recommend it but you have to get a new battery. I don’t know how they didn’t notice at Armasight. Ah well. It works great now.
