Happy to find that this was steel instead of aluminum. The black oxide coating is well applied and the price is right.

I got the black version of this button. Most of these are made from plastic or aluminum. The one that I received was made from steel. It had a nice black finish, was cut mil-spec. This was just what I was looking for.

Added to my BCM bolt and it’s defiantly smoother, installation was very easy, there is a kit but it requires removal of the gas key. This is much easier with the same result. Cost is less as well, the coating seems like it will last.
