Most Helpful Negative Review Malfunctioned immediately
Within the first 10 rounds this optic malfunctioned. The red dot will intermittently dissappear after firing a round and then reappear after firing another round. This behavior was consistent across ~150 rounds.

Bought this for my Springfield Hellcat FDE OSP and could not be happier! Great red dot for the price and the auto adjust is the best I have seen.Highly recommend
Pros:
  • Fast auto adjust for low light conditions
Cons:
  • Battery compartment is on the bottom

Great Red Dot for the Springfield Hellcat OSP

I purchased this Athlon Optics Talos Red Dot for my Springfield Hellcat FDE OSP & I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget friendly red dot. Crisp, clear window, red dot automatically adjusts to lighting conditions. I have had his red dot for 3 months now and the original battery is still running strong. The dust cover is nice to have with it as this model has no "on/off" button. Definitely follow the instructions & use a bore sight first out of the box, followed by at least three shot groups at 10/15/20 yards. Fits like a glove, easy installation & very durable on the Springfield Hellcat. Only downside is the battery is located on the bottom, however this shouldn't be too big of an issue as the battery life is very long.

  • Battery access is on the bottom
