This is my fourth Ballistic Advantage 11.3" 5.56 Performance Series Hanson Profile Barrel that I have purchased through OpticsPlanet. I absolutely love this barrel. It's definitely my favorite 5.56 barrel and barrel length. It has a Carbine length gas system with a pinnable gas block. The gas block comes included with the barrel which is one less part I need to buy. I used this barrel to build a 11.3" upper with a 10.6" handguard which is a .7" difference between the two. This makes it the most flush fitting upper I have. The barrel threads line up perfectly with the end of the handguard. I can direct thread a suppressor on it and it would be nice and flush but I opted to use a SilencerCo ASR Closed-Tine flash hider instead since I use my cans on other builds. I hopefully, will buy a direct thread suppressor for this build. The gas port size must be perfect it cycles any 556/223 ammo I feed it. I use a Geissele Super 42 braided wire spring and H3 buffer and the ejection pattern is perfect at 3-3:30 o'clock unsuppressed and suppressed. The fit and finish on the barrel is very nice. It's QPQ coated with a nickel boron feed ramp extension. I have nothing but good things to say about the barrel and highly recommend it if you are looking to build a 11.3/11.5 upper.

Bought for a new build, still waiting on other parts. but this barrel is very nice and lighter than I expected.

I bought this BA 11.3 hanson 556 barrel for a new upper build and it shoots great. It paired up nicely with MI Night Fighter 10.5 rail. Used an AP assembled AR15 upper to complete the build. I was shooting tight groups with this barrel out the gate and is now one of my favorite uppers. You can pin the gas block too. I highly recommend this barrel especially for the price - great quality.
