I’m using it for the Kimber 2K 11, on a scale of one to 10 where one is putting your pistol in a bucket and 10 is a perfect fitting holster. I would place this somewhere around a seven. It’s not a duty holster or designed to be perfect but it does give good retention. Does what you need to do and for those of us with difficult to fit pistols this fills the bill so yes, I would definitely recommend. This will work with other Blackhawk mounting systems, but I probably would not use my horizontal chest rig
Pros:
- universal
- works with other Blackhawk mounting systems

Tactile exterior rubber prevents jacket interference & "printing." Multiple thumb pad activators to accommodate position height preference. Compact Glock sets high as subcompact, compact & and full-size pistols can be used so long as the rail attachment fits correctly. Non form fitting allows space around the pistol preventing "sear walk" with striker fired pistols when slide torsion occurs with pistol butts. Eliminates the known trigger toggle retention problems with operators shooting themselves in the leg that still remains unaddressed being thumb released & Florida compliant for commercial security use. The draw is incredible if you have to wear a jacket, but reholstering not as fast but is hardly a regulated compliance issue even though instructors will frown on them being they do not think on their own.

It fit my 4.25 Prodigy very good. Comes with belt attachments and paddle attachment. Seems to be sturdy but time will tell. Plan on using it as a range holster mostly. It is to big and bulky to be used for everyday carry unless using it as a duty holster

I bought this for my Walther PDP. I use the surefire x-300 ultra. The light fit lose on the tail. And requires the slide in bar to hold the light on right. With the slide in bar in place it did not fit in the holster. I had to order a different version of the x-300
Cons:
- Doesn't work with all configurations of the light
Best Used for:
- Full or medium size guns.

Blackhawk had a good idea with this holster and with a bit of fine tuning and higher quality parts this holster could be perfect. I got this particular holster because I wanted to run a TLR-1 on my gun, I am left handed (makes finding holsters impossible) and my gun is a bit older and there aren’t many products made for it. Pros- Solid build, Blackhawk’s two mounting option (owb paddle or belt loop) locks gun pretty tight (some wiggle) and of course the best feature is the ability to run numerous guns while equipped with a TLR-1 light. Cons in my opinion are loose tolerances, the gun wiggles in the holster if you make it; wouldn’t be good for serious duty work. The thumb release tolerance needs work, I found that if I started pulling the gun slightly from the holster before the thumb release was fully depressed the gun would bind up and would have to be pushed back down into locking mechanism to try again. For now this is my only option for a southpaw running a gun light besides a soft holster, and I’m happy with it for my needs. I definitely think Blackhawk needs to make a 2.0 version of this holster at similar price point.

Over all not bad. Best for the range when you want to switch pistols just by changing the light. The thumb safety was a little ruff but after pushing it a few hundred times by now, it’s nice and slick. I wouldn’t use it as my duty holster, just seems a little weak compared to a safari land that uses the actual firearm to lock with. Still great and tough enough to bang around. The spacers and kinda pointless as it’s just something else to get snagged on. My m&p anf G19 fit with no problem. The mount is the same as all the Blackhawk holsters. I did find that the screws diameter is the same, this holster needs a longer screw which it did come with.

Holster is amazing...performs exactly as advertised. And i was even able to mount it to an older style leg platform with longer screws. Good retention, and the unwanted draw lockout is strong as well. Great product.

I was worried about the fit of the weapon systems and if they would rattle or fit correctly. With the different inserts, this keeps the weapons stable and i can switch from training aids, to training tools like air-soft and then to my firearms without re-configuring my gear. this is a plus that saves time. running with out silencer is a must. it may be able to be modified to fit a silencer that's the same width as the weapon but not much larger.
Pros:
- adaptability
- Size & Weight
- color and finish
- the ability to fit different weapons platforms with the same light.
Cons:
- threaded holes are plastic, so they can be easily stripped
- some weapons dont fit deepinto the holster, all depends on the light and how it sits on the weapon.
