After working in support of Law Enforcement for a season of my life, I was gifted this bag from my boss on departure. While mine is an olive drab, it is identical to these two. It is absolutely perfect for my Marlin 1895g and custom 10/22. The awesome thing is the flexability as I will use various pouches and velcro straps for my beloved contender pistol, extra barrels and spotting scope. I used to lug around my giant SKB double rifle case (which is still an awesome case) but this is so much better for my range needs. I will add though, this is certainly NOT discreet, as this type of case is all over the movies, games, and tv. The only surprise is that it doesn't have tactical styled guns in it, but lever guns, single action and single shot pistols.
Pros:
- Easy to carry
- Modularity
- Light & easy to handle one handed
Best Used for:
- pistols
- short rifles
- contenders

Case is nicely made and is probably the best quality available for a reasonable price. The padding is adequate and there's plenty of room for spare magazines (the kind that hold cartridges, not the ones you read) in the opposite side. The shoulder strap is padded well and attached to allow the load to carry slightly angled away from the body at the top. A good, protective, (and discreet) case for my new FN 15 carbine.
Cons:
- Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Product seems to be extremely well maid. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have got black. (it shows every speck of dust or dirt) Has very sturdy zippers, and seems to be heavy duty material that it is made from. Once again Optics Planet came through with very fast shipping.

The foam used in Blackhawk bags is very dense--much more dense than the foam found in most "economy" bags. You must ask yourself whether what you put in the bag is worth protecting. If so, buy this bag.
Pros: Good Padding
Cons: Pricey

Pretty well made, needs optional pouches to be readily available for purchase.
Pros: good padding and doesn't scream "rifle bag"
Cons: needs easy to buy optional pouches for pistol mags, spare parts, etc...

If you don't want just everybody knowing you keep guns in your home, and nothing screams "modern sporting rifle" more than your typical, magazine pouch adorned, 'tactical' carry case, then the Blackhawk! Homeland Discreet Weapons Carry Case may be just what you're looking for. The generous interior compartment easily holds a tricked out AR, or two unadorned models if you supply a second set of retention straps. And the outside pocket has the infinitely variable hook/loop panel and includes a pouch to hold three 30rd mags. The entire case is well made with quality zippers. Although it appears Blackhawk! has discontinued much of their hook-backed accessories that can be used with this case, other manufacturers are still making pouches and accessories that will fill the bill. Short of stuffing your m4 variant into a golf bag, this is about as discreet as it gets.
Pros: Internal hook/loop panel is awesome
Cons: Needs two more weapon retention straps

I bought this case for my patrol carbine and it fits the bill nicely. Very solid construction and lots of extra space in the front pocket for mags, extra ammo, etc. The included mag pouches are a nice extra as you have to add them to many other cases.
Pros: Solid construction, extra storage, low profile
Cons: None

My son researched this case for our ar rifles with 35 and 42 inch lengths. I bought one for each of us and then because the were so well made I purchased another one. All three are just excellent and the service from opticsplanet is excellent. They are a very trusted source and I am very comfortable ordering from them.
The cases come with three very sell made magazine pouches in the accessory
compartment of the case but extras on the manufacturers web site are very costly. The rifle compartment comes with two strong velcro straps which can be placed to secure the rifle in position. The zippers work well. They're without a doubt the best cases I've ever seen or owned.
Pros: well made/easy to use and adjust / just the right size/flexible organization
Cons: extra magazine pouches available direct from the manufacturer are very costly

My first soft rifle case. Good color, coyote tan is more like a dark tan with a greenish tint. Paddind is thin but dense offering good protection and slim profile only one drawback no pockets for pens, paper or tools no big deal you can add it with the velcro lining (does come with mag pouch). Overall good sh@# buy and enjoy.
Pros: Simple and discreet
Cons: None

Lot's of room and Heavy padding throught out the bag.
Dual adjustable internal straps to secure rifle from moving around during transport.
Large storage pouch holds tons of gear. Pouch is lined with Loop side velcro to attach a wide variety of pouches and holders.
The Triple Magazine pouch that comes with this bag is a great addition.
A little narrow if you have lights / accessories attached to the side of your rifle.
All around Great Bag for the money!
