The best lightweight handguard
This handguard was sturdy, easy to grip, and above all SUPER lightweight. A must for any AR pistol build. Only cons is its expensive, looks like it could be broken if stressed in a specific way, and you have to buy rail segments separately. If they included one free segment, I'd have given 5 stars.

It's glued together
This hangaurd will not take any recoil. Yes carbon fiber is strong but the components are glued together. Stay away. I bought it and now I'm out money because they won't refund me 100% of my purchase. It failed on me while shooting. It's dangerous and poorly thought out.

Made it all possible
I wanted to build a LW large frame AR. When I found this I knew my build had to have it. The way the barrel nut is made, allows the handgaurd to be slimmer than other 308 type HG's. Quality is impeccable and the HG is STOUT! The carbon is very comfortable in cold temps. I tried to use a cheap tool to install it and fudge up the barrel nut. I called to order a replacement, and Brigand went above and beyond. They sent a new one, free of charge. FYI: The barrel nut is the same size as a mil-spec 5.56. Brigand recommends 30-35 lb-ft on it. I used a 308 shim kit to get it perfect. My rifle is right at 6lbs (empty mag, no optics) thanks to Brigand!!
