I recently evaluated the Burris Fullfield 4-16X50mm PA AE Wind MOA rifle scope. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I mounted and leveled the scope on my Tikka .223 and proceeded to sight in the rifle. Zeroing in was quick and I was able to obtain a very precise zero in just a few shots. The zero stop was very intuitive and easy to use, however the small screws needed to come out fully to adjust it, which I felt was somewhat of a liability on the range. I would like to see an improvement of the zero-stop system where the complete removal of the screws was not necessary.
The eye relief is comfortable, which is a big plus when you’re spending a lot of time behind the scope. The 4-16X zoom range is versatile, and the glass provided edge to edge clarity with a generous field of view.
Reliability is the absolute determining factor for me when choosing a hunting scope. This scope is built tough. It handled dust, moisture, and recoil without any issues during my range sessions. I maxed out the elevation several times and the scope always returned to zero without any issues. I purposely threw it on the truck seat and carried my rifle by the scope at the range several times just to verify that my zero never changed. If performed flawlessly.

It’s a very clear and sturdy scope, I have it on an X-Bolt speed 7mm PRC. Through sighting it in and doing some bench shooting mixed regular plinking on my property it functioned as intended and never lost zero. It is a different style of reticle than I have used, I primarily run ones with drop and windage not just windage on its own. Even with this difference at five hundred yards or under performance of drop is not as much of a concern. Really got to test out both the rifle and windage mills this past week in Oklahoma with a cold front moving in and strong winds of gust of 40mph so it became a good day of testing. With the windage at five hundred yards it made it easier to know exactly where to hold for the wind.

I've been a Burris fan for a while. My pistol has a Burris red dot and I just ordered their scope mount. So far, I'm even more impressed with this Fullfield IV scope. The glass is clear from edge to edge. I didnt notice any distortion when looking down range. My wife and both were able to 0 it very easy and every adjustment was smooth and precise. I was impressed with the fit and finish, especially for the what it retails. As the afternoon got warmer it started to drizzle and was very humid. There was no fog on the glass or change in clarity. I will be transferring this to my main hunting rifle and will be my go-to scope on all my trips. There is one way Burris could improve the scope. I wish is came with lens covers, even cheap ones. Anything to protect the glass and stop dust when being stored. Besides that, it's a really great lens and Burris doesn't disappoint. I'll continue to buy their products.

The title says it, I saw it all thru this scope and the scope saw it all in testing. I dropped it, banged it and accidentally tossed it once while it was either in it out of the box ( I was taking it out). At first glance I was off put by the knobs and adjustments but after a YouTube video and range session I was put at ease. Straightforward and easier than it looks was the verdict after I actually put hands on it. Knobs felt like they were in the right place and moved the round where I wanted. Groups were tight and after 50 rounds of testing the scope adjustments were instinctful . The optic was lightweight but I feel like it could be a little lighter. I never felt like the optic weighed to much but everyone always wants a lighter optic. I like the smoothness of the range adjuster and the clarifier brings it all together with the same smoothness of a twist. It didn't matter if the target was 500 meters away or 50 meters away, this thing dialed it up and with one easy well placed turn of the clarifier I was looking at a perfect target. Seriously I cannot stress how well far and close ( and I mean close) this thing perfectly lines up.
At the range was one thing so I took it out on my hunting rifle for a week of deer season. I got soaked on day 1 and the glass still cleared everything up and all the caps kept the knobs dry as can be. The Burris Fullfield 4-16x50mm scope is a great buy for anyone in the market for a new optic that is going to be reliable for reaching out and making those longer distance shots that we here on the Oregon Coast experience during fall deer and elk seasons. I really liked the clarity of the scope and how I was easily able to stay on target fairly easily without any issue of the optic fogging up or constantly having to readjust for the shot. I would definitely recommend for anyone that want a great quality optic that isn't going to break the bank.

Last month Burris and Expert Voice sent me a Fullfield 4-16X50mm PA AE Wind MOA scope to test out. I decided to throw it on a Savage Model 12 in 22-250. I ran into an initial issue with the factory rings and bases, but solved the issue with a 20 MOA picatinny rail and new rings. Once I got the proper ring spacing I didn't have any issues getting the scope mounted and was able to get it set and leveled without issue.

This Fullfield scope is a 2nd focal plane scope that maintains the same size reticle no matter what zoom setting you use. I found the glass quality and clarity to be very good for the price point. During low light or really contrasty scenes you may notice it lagging a little behind higher end scopes or larger tubes, but for most scenarios it is very pleasing to look through.

The MOA reticle foregoes vertical stadia, but offers hold offs for windage. I thought this was a little odd when I first looked at it, but it does make sense when you think about the fact that a lot of us will dial for elevation and then hold for windage. Having said that, if you want the ability to measure or hold off for elevation, this reticle might not be for you. The 4-16x zoom range gives a good range for closer hunting ranges to long distance shots. As I like to hold for windage I appreciate a capped windage turret. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. That being said, it was a welcome upgrade to my rifle! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the glass at the suggested price point; it was clear and offered fantastic low-light performance. While my main use of the scope was at the shooting range, I made sure to get out in extremely low-light conditions multiple days to test the scope’s viability for early morning and late evening hunts. Even in pre-sunrise and late sunset conditions, I was able to look through the scope and acquire a clear target. The glass provided excellent detail at 4x zoom and surpassed my expectations at 16x. One of the best features is the exposed elevation turret. The turret provided great positive feedback and was easy to set a new zero. While I wish the windage turret was exposed, the reticle took care of that quite well with windage MOA markings. I think my only qualm is that being SFP, the windage is only accurate at 16x zoom. One notable feature is the Burris Knob Synergy. While I did not get the opportunity to try out this feature, Burris states that their elevation turret is customizable (through aftermarket kits and parts). In a world where people customize everything from their homes to their cars, the ability to customize your rifle optic is a welcome addition.

Worse new scope purchase ever made. The specs look wonderful and the reality once you look through it don’t matchup. Had high hopes and researched for weeks. Back to the drawing board on what to purchase.

I was sent the Burris Fullfield 4-16X50mm PA AE Wind MOA for free to test out. The glass is great for the price range. The turrets tracked as they should and are very tactile and positive. The zero stop does require tools to setup, but the process is pretty minimal and it holds true. The side parallax and mag ring are smooth and easy to operate. I do wish a throw lever was included for the magnification ring. Also, scope caps or a cover would be a good addition. The reason I rank it at 4 stars instead of 5 is subjective. I'm not sure i would recommend this reticle to the masses. This is a second focal plane optic, with subtentions on the X axis for wind holds. The issue I have with this setup is the fact that you have to be on max power (16x) for those subtentions to be accurate. While I used this optic both on varmint hunts and at the range, I never found myself at 16x beyond the initial sight-in. I am a fan of dialing for precision, but the lack of subtentions below the x-axis is a bit of a miss for me as well. Again, a great optic overall, but I would expect most hunters and shooters to pick a different reticle option.

Super easy to zero and going to be great to teach my kids how to shoot on. Love the precise clicks and intuitive controls. The class is super. Clear too!
