Most Helpful Positive Review great rings
if you've been looking for 34mm rings you've seen that there's not a lot of options out there. these are very high quality rings and will fit the pic or weaver mounts. i used the med. height with a burris xtr2 scope on a riffle with a bull barrel and had plenty of room left. probably could have went...

Most Helpful Negative Review Made in China Product, so You Get What You Paid For
The Burris XTR rings didn't perform as advertised and now the Burris XTR II scope that I bought from OP is cosmetically damaged. The XTR rings are supposed to withstand magnum recoil when the ring tops are tightened to the Burris recommended 20 in-lbs. spec, but the scope shifted in the XTR rings on...

Well built, good value

by JMBrowning, from ME, United States Written on July 4, 2018
These rings are perfect for my Burris 5-25 x 50 XTR II scope. Mounted on my Bergara BMP, the medium height rings put the scope nice and low on the rifle. These rings are rugged and well machined; no lapping was needed. Don't cheap out on rings for your mid or high priced scope. Do yourself a favor and consider these rings.
Pros:
  • rugged design
Cons:
  • None

Used with Burris XTR II 8-40x50

by Paul, from AL, United States Written on October 2, 2017
I got the High rings due to the 50mm objective of the Burris XTR II 8-40. The rings are mounted to a standard 20 MOA rail on top of a Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor. There is enough room between the barrel and the objective to slide the fingers of my hand. I probably could have gotten away with medium rings. I'm not sure if this height is a good or bad thing. After 10 rounds, the Bergara HMR barrel is so hot I'm wondering if the extra space provides a little buffer to the heat spreading to the scope. The Burris XTR II extends a good length down the barrel. On the other hand, I have to extend my cheek piece to nearly the top of its range to get proper eye alignment. It is what it is and the rifle provides the adjustment needed to make the high rings work. If I did not have the adjustable cheek piece, the rings would be too high.

After initial mounting and sight in with screws tightened to the user manual specified torque, the scope did move about 2 mm. I took the top half of the rings off, cleaned the scope and rings again, and re-tightened with a few extra in-lbs of torque and this time the scope didn't move. 4 stars due to needing more torque than specified in manual when paired with a Burris scope. That isn't a big deal to me, though.
Pros:
  • good price
  • They work
Cons:
  • needed extra torque

Nicely made but they don't work

by Dale, from GA, United States Written on October 3, 2016
I installed these on a Ruger Precision Rifle mounting a Burris XTR scope. I ran out of windage trying to zero the scope. After remounting with rings reversed I ran out of windage in the other direction. The scope was visually out of line with the barrel. The only way I could zero the scope was by placing a shim on the fixed side of the Weaver rail claw. I finally replaced the rings with another style and had no problem zeroing the scope. In my opinion the claw mount is not properly machined. I need to return these to Burris.

Built like a Tank

by Mr. Big Time, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 30, 2016
I ordered these a few weeks back and have just got them mounted up. They are on a Ruger RPR, Gen II in 6.5CM. The optic is a Burris XTR-II 5-25x50. They are of high quality and give me extreme confidence that everything is locked down and steady. I have always been a Leupold and/or Vortex guy , but thought I would give Burris a try. I am not disappointed.

34mm 1 inch

by Ty, from FL, United States Written on August 24, 2016
High quality steel product that is well made and rock solid. HEAVY. I ordered these because OP could not get the XTR rings which I wanted so I "settled" for these. I am not displeased, in fact I am glad that I did as I like the steel better for my longer range shooting as it is heavier. The 6 ring screws ensure that scope will not slip and the large base makes for positive locking to your base. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I cannot understand why 34mm rings are really so much more expensive than 30mm rings.
Pros:
  • 6 screws per ring and a large steel base nut
Cons:
  • None

34mm Rugged and Precise Scope Rings

by Rich Lawrence, from TN, United States Written on July 18, 2016
Scope rings need to be precise, and they need to be rugged. The Burris 34mm XTR rings meet both requirements.

34mm rings aren't cheap, and they can be hard to find. Optics Planet had these rings in stock.

Solid Rings

by MDL, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on April 14, 2016
Very solid rings. No alterations needed to be made for the optic to fit secure. I bought these rings to fit the Burris XTR optic I purchased. They are on my 6.5 CM. Considering the cost of other "named" brand of rings, I think these are an excellent purchase at this price point.
Pros:
  • price/performance
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Higher recoil rifle

worked perfect with burris XTR II 4-20x50 scope on the ruger precision rifle, rings are a bit heavy but well worth it in the build quality and holding strength. Simple to install, comes with tools and easy to read instructions.
