Great example of you get what you pay for....expensive, but bulletproof! Excellent workmanship, perfect finish, and airtight lockup with the barrel nut.
The only drawback on this is the weight, on a firearm that’s already front heavy.
That said, I don’t know that you save much weight with any of the newer or aftermarket options (of which I believe there are only three). I know the slimmer Geissele is still almost identical weight.
That’s the trade off with most piston formats.
