In My Own Words:

Avid hunter and shooter. You won't ever see a dishonest product review from me. If I haven't used a product myself and put it through its paces, I won't talk about it.

Great addition to my Browning BPS.

Written on Mar 25, 2015

I bought this choke tube because it was the only one available to me at the time, and I had never had any problems with the Primos Tightwad when I used it in an 870 last year. I decided it would be worth a shot. Paired up with the Winchester Longbeard XR 3" #6's, this choke really does a great job. At 20 yards the pattern was really tight, but not too tight, and at 40 yards it is devastating. This choke turned my BPS into an easy 50 yard turkey slayer, and I couldn't be happier. Give it a try!

Can't quite give it 5 stars.. But it is a very nice scope for the $$$

The leupold Rifleman riflescopes are as basic as it gets for leupold. They are great scopes for the money. The only reason I can't give this product 5 stars is because I actually haven't had one on any of my rifles, or used one extensively. I helped my cousin sight his Model 70 in last spring, and he had this exact scope on it. It had a very nice sight picture, and seemed to maintain zero VERY well after a lot of shooting. I wish they would upgrade this model and give it some finger adjustable windage and elevation adjustments, and make the clicks more tactile and audible, but I feel like this scope would really serve the budget minded average everyday meat hunter very well. IMHO, if I actually owned one of these scopes, It would probably get a 5 star rating. I really liked the one I shot with. I may buy one to go on my Stevens/Savage .223 for coyotes.

Very good quality mounting system.

I have one Mounted on a 30-06 springfield, and these DNZ one piece bases/rings really do hold your scope in place. I love the fact that there are no moving parts. You can't go wrong with these. Super lightweight, super tough.

Excellent performance at an excellent price point.

I was given the Prostaff 5 3.5-14x40 BDC Silver for my birthday last year. I put it on a Mossberg 4x4 Marinecoat(stainless corrosion resistant type finish) Laminate stock model chambered in 30-06 Springfield, and its a deadly combination. The scope matches the rifle well. It holds its zero VERY well and the magnification range is unreal for the price. The clarity of this scope really is awesome too. Looks just as nice as any 600-700 dollar leupold I've ever looked through, but everyone's eyes are different. In my honest opinion you really cannot go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.
