May Be Best of the Best

Written on Jan 19, 2019

I have a Shield RMS mounted on my M&P Shield and the RMSc on my Glock 43. I've had several other quality red dot sights. The Shield is by far the
best of any. Shield isn't new to reflex sights. They've been making them for the British military and special forces for thirty years! About 18 months ago
they started selling to the commercial market.
Mount them, zero the sight and that's it. No button to turn Off and On. No button to set the brightness. No buttons at all. The brightness adjusts to the
area instantly. In open sunlight very bright and in dim light very small. The RMS is designed for pistols and is for double stack pistols. The RMSc is for
single stack pistols. I bought the RMS for my M&P Shield before the RMSc was available. However, the over hang isn't noticeable unless you have to look
closely.
These are tough little sights! There's a red dot sight out there that's very popular and is a fine sight too but_____the Shield RMS and RMSc is gaining
fans over the last 18 months its been available in the United States.

Retired Law Enforcement

I've had the 380 and the 9mm SightMark bore lasers for six years. Frankly can't tell the difference between the two. The one for the 380 caliber
I've only used a couple of times___only because I only have one 380, used for a desk gun. I've used the 9mm dozens of times over the years in
several 9mm pistols to zero in reflex (red dot) sights. I place the laser dot on a wall 40 feet away and then adjust the dot in the reflex sight to
match the laser dot. They've been perfectly zeroed in when later practicing using my 10" steel gong targets at defensive shots___no more than
seven yards. On one trip I saw an old 1 liter plastic bottle way up on the hill (back stop) about 300 feet away___. had five rounds left in my last
magazine ___why not? Hit it right off and continued bouncing it four more times.
For mormal pistol distances all of my pistols and friends I've suggested using these___no complaints. Anything beyond these distances, get your
rifle.
Do, purchase extra batteries, They will dim with repeated use. Do not put these in a magazine and chamber a round and expect them to eject
by racking the slide. (Extractor will destroy the SightMark) Manually drop them into the chamber and remove them manually.

Similar To Bore Snake

Written on Nov 01, 2017

I've been using Bore Snakes on my pistols for some time and find they really work well.
I thought I'd try this Otis Ripcord. It seems to grab the bores well, maybe a wee bit tighter than
my Bore Snakes. Better? Just different. I do like the two fitting on each end.
I'll be keeping this Ripcord and use it along with the Bore Snakes. If you do not yet have a Bore
Snake then this will serve you well.
Stay safe
