For what it is

Written on Dec 12, 2024

What it is, is green, so much better than old red. My battery arrived dead, so was not off to great start. As noted by others it is a not a 1 MOA dot as listed under features. It listed under specs as a - Dual reticule:2 MOA Dot or Circle Dot. It is NOT and was disappointed to find this out. Investigating after (I should have check first) on Sig website, I find part of the problem is Sig's fault along with Optics Planet. Sig has an "Elite version" that is only in a red reticule that actually has a Quad Ballistic Circle Dot 2.0. There is no elite version for green. Newer style turrets without cap to lose are nice. On fence on new I-beam mount. Old style mount could use Back Up Iron Sights without having to remove. New I-beam ones do give a bit better field of view.

Basic entry level Red Dot

Written on Dec 19, 2023

Comes well packaged. Two mounts, cleaning cloth, battery, lens cover all in protected case. Only thing that would make it better is if it was green. My eyes not getting any younger. Solid and reliable.

Good for the money

Written on Aug 28, 2023

I bought this on sale. I have another green dot I liked a lot, the Holosun 515. I also have a Sig Romeo 5. This is a good sight. Not the 515 one but it didn't cost that either. Previous generation came with QD mount. They should have kept it. The buttons which is the style I prefer over the dial are a bit small and hard to push. They lack a + or - but instead use arrows, not big fan of that. They also are reversed from my other dots as to which button increase and decreases. I dinged it on buttons for a star, don't need another tool to carry to attach/detach. Lost another star for dropping the QD mount. Doesn't seem much bigger for being 25mm over the others at 20mm, might pick it up a hair quicker. Intend for my new 10/22 build which it will be more than good for moving the cans or getting a rabbit in Ma's garden.
