Overall, this is an amazing butt stock. As described, it fits quite snug with the buffer tube, absolutely zero rattle. The pad is a nice middle ground between soft-firm and the gripped texture does a great job of preventing slippage. The size of the stock is a double-edged sword. It’s small enough that it fits snugly into my shoulder, allowing me to hold it in place. However, the reduced surface area does increase the pressure generated by the force of the recoil to the point where you can feel it. This is the first time I’ve ever had a bruise from shooting an AR-15. But that little detail is not enough to deter a 5-star rating.

Works perfectly. I haven’t tried to put any fiber optic wire in it, but I don’t think that really matters.

This ambidextrous mag release is great, minus one caveat. The spring it comes with SUCKS, so it keeps dropping magazines. It’s not stiff enough, so I bought a spring with a higher spring constant and made sure it was tightened as far as it could be. The problem was instantly solved. No more dropping mags.

It wiggles a bit in the MIL spec BT, but it wiggles a lot in the Strike ARE buffer tube. The lack of gipped texture in the butt plate causes some slide when you fire. The pistol grip is great, no complaints there. The stock is nice enough, but can definitely be improved.

As a lefty shooting a RH rifle, this works great. It does turn the entire rifle into a tuning fork, but that just means I get to align my chakras while I’m shooting…

There’s a difference in sound, but it’s unrealistic to expect that difference to be heard when you’re firing the rifle. The AR definitely doesn’t sound like a toy anymore when I pull the charging handle/BCG back. I do notice a big difference in stability as well, translating to a better functioning rifle. I probably wouldn’t pay the 130-150 for some of the other brands, but for $75-80 bucks I think it’s worth the difference.

Grabbed this to replace a buffer tube I jacked up when I dropped it on the ground. I liked the lock for the detent. It’s works great. The Hogue over-molded butt stock is pretty wobbly with it, but I was planning on replacing that anyway.

I don’t really use slings, so I haven’t tested the QD portion, but everything else checks out. It locks firmly without having to stake it. Big bonus right there.

I’ve been conditioned to use CLP, but at the advice of a shooting buddy I decided to try a separate cleaner and lube. This works greats.

It does the job and was pretty inexpensive. I find it fits better than the armorer’s wrench I had before it. The rubber handle is nice and it’s compact. Very nice addition to my portable tool bag.
