Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x50mm Rifle Scope
Had this scope for a couple of months and finally got it mounted on my 350 Leg. Impressed with the XLT so far. I’ve had a few of the cheaper Bushnells previously, but got this one on sale, and it’s definitely an upgrade. Nice turrets, clear glass, tracks well. Not much of a sample size, but it has held zero through the first 2 boxes of ammo.
Most will agree that a 3-9x isn’t enough for long range or open country hunting, but for 100yd shots from a deer blind with a 350Leg, it’s perfect. Looking forward to taking it in the woods this Fall.

Work from the Surf

Saw a guy online having success with these for surf fishing and figured I’d give it a shot. For whatever reason, the colors really do seem to attract more fish. I’ve loaded up on several different bright colors the last 2 years surf fishing OBX, and I’ve absolutely noticed an increase in bites. Green, orange and pink, paired with sand fleas or various Fish Bites produced great results for tons of whiting and spot, plus a few pompano.
