Mine is mounted on a Browning Buckmark and used primarily for steel shooting competitions. I don’t have an opinion or how it might hold up on higher calibers. It is an upgrade from another red dot that I just kept losing in target transition. I am not the fastest or most skilled competitor, but this optic has helped me make a marked improvement in shooting times. It is a nice, big lens with clear dot throughout the brightness settings. Because of the lens size I can hold the dot through every transition. The green color stands out better for me than red. The only cons are no shake awake, the dot has to be removed from the plate to change the battery and no tactile or audible “click” when making windage or elevation adjustments. I managed to zero in 15 minutes with 30 rounds on paper at 10 yards and 25 yards. This optic is hard to beat at this price point.
