I bought this kit because it included everything for an AR9 build. Each piece has a very nice finish to it and has proven to be very durable and reliable. I have this set behind a 16" overall length barrel (14.25 w/o flash hider) and I have fired ammo from factory charge defensive ammo down to hand loaded, low charge target rounds and have had absolutely no cycling issues. There is no hard recoil with the factory charges and no evidence of wanting to short cycle with the low velocity (<900fps) target ammo. All in all a very nice kit for an AR9 carbine.

I bought this kit for a compact AR9 build and I am completely satisfied. I chose it because it included all of the parts in one kit but I actually used the buffer and spring to replace parts in an older AR15 build. That said each piece is of high quality and the fit when assembled is very good. I have built others with MILSPEC tubes and stocks and had to use the electrical tape trick to get rid of the play. This kit has very little play in the stock, less than my issued M-9 and does not cause any issues during operation. Overall I am completely pleased with this purchase and will most likely buy this or other similar products from UTG

Bought this barrel for a light weight carbine build that was legal rifle length but compact. This barrel is perfect for that with a total length of 16" from breech face to end of flash hider so total length from front of upper to end of barrel is only 15 1/2". It has a nice small diameter flash hider built in (all one piece) and allowed me to use a muzzle style bore-sight with no problems. That said the accuracy is outstanding. I have fired commercial defense ammo and cast round nose and truncated cone reloads with similar accuracy and complete reliability. The price is very reasonable and the fit in a milspec upper was about as close to perfect as you can get. At this point I am using a mag adapter block in a standard lower and have had no feeding/extracting issues what so ever. Overall I have complete confidence and satisfaction in this barrel.

Purchased a 10" for a 9mm carbine build. Very light weight, guard and nut appear to be aluminum alloy but nut is very long and durable. Installed with standard 3 pin universal AR barrel nut wrench with no problems(torqued to the mid-low side and did not have to line up gas tube hole but would be plenty easy to do if needed). Nut has very long, fine threads for hand guard and is very solid once installed. The black finish is really nice and is very close in color to the upper and barrel that I used with a touch more gloss. The 10" has two sets of knurling and provides a steady gripping point. If you just need something to hold on to and don't need lights or sights this is perfect, especially for the price. Great value!
