TAN color! Not black.

Written on Jun 10, 2018

Five star Surefire quality. Minus three stars because item listing does not disclose these are TAN not black. The letters TN in item number are the hint, but never does the item listing state these are tan. Not unusual for optics planet to miss this somewhat important bit of info. Now I have a two tone Surefire!

Works well

Written on Apr 23, 2018

Solid build that functions as described. Ergonomics are there. Not a chin weld. More upright heads up instead. Just fits an aimpoint t2 and pvs14 on twist mount. Pricey though it is. Recommended.

Do not buy.

Written on Apr 10, 2018

Plastic adapter is junk. Strips or crossthreads very easy. Both buffer tube and set screw. Very poor quality. Known issue with SB Tactical. Not recommended. Hopefully they change the design to aluminum or metal thread inserts in the plastic.

Not 3.5 lb trigger pull

Written on Sep 21, 2017

We have 10 of these triggers in milspec AR15 M4's. The pull weight, if measured in the middle of trigger where your finger will naturally rest, averages just under 5lbs. Contact RISE the mfr and they will state they measure trigger pull of 3.5 lbs at the bottom end of trigger. Other than this the trigger has a nice pull quality. Unfortunately the housing is a bit long so it may not work in AR308 of DPMS Gen 1 design. Also, the set screws when tightened altered the trigger pull heavier. So we were forced to get the KMS pins. In consideration of these factors the price isn't all that great.

Top o dee line

EDC perfection. Expensive, yes. Fits my hand just right. Guard surrounds on off switch so pocket carry won't inadvertently turn on the light. Light enough for all time use.... is this 200 characters yet?

Best there is...

Written on May 05, 2017

If you want retention that can be be accessed immediately then look no further. My only warning is that I was sent a 4 year outdated version of this holster. So check the date stamp on the back of the holster. If you have any doubt call Safariland directly.

Burly and high quality

Written on Apr 27, 2017

Want the best? Here it is. If it meets your mission requirements then you won't be disappointed. Besides cost the only real negative is the weight. But if you want durable then it takes a certain amount of metal doesn't it. The other point is that the mount takes up a bit of rail space which may or may not be an issue.

Poor visibility for daylight

Written on Apr 07, 2017

Fairly good for low light, but lack of white or yellow ring around tritium insert is a deal breaker. XS or Trijicon do it correctly but not for the Benelli M4 unfortunatly. There is acompany that will custom install tritium into the OEM sight but cost 2.5 times as much as these meprolights.
