I purchased two of these, the second one after I liked the first one so much. My problem comes from the second one being dangerously non functional. In my particular examples the first one was phenomenal. It has a clean break and light pull with a crisp reset. The second however, has a malfunction which causes the hammer to fall when the trigger is released. I never fired my rifle with the malfunctioning trigger but I know that the first one worked very well while it was installed.
Upon disassembly, I could see major differences in the shapes and sizes of the hammer and disconnector between my two examples. The working one had weak sear engagement on the trigger. The malfunctioning one has much deeper chamfer edges on the disconnector as well as having its disconnector hook sit nearly .040” further to the rear of the hammer’s disconnect sear, likely being the cause of the malfunction.
The generally good reviews lead me to believe this is a rare issue. I however can’t recommend this product because in my experience it’s a 50/50 shot of it not working. At least optics planet has a very good return policy.
The only merit this holster has is the fact that it covers the trigger of the handgun. Other than that, the retention is extremely poor and the handgun can be twisted out and pulled out of the front. I’ve never had a good experience with a universal holster and was hoping this would prove me wrong.
This is one the best additions you can couple to any Surefire muzzle device. I bought mine for use on a Surefire muzzle break and it takes most of the concussion out of an otherwise obnoxious blast to the face. It should be noted that this does nothing to hide or reduce muzzle flash other than pushing it forward of the user and firearm.
They say that bullpup rifles can’t have good triggers because they need to have linkage to the trigger mechanism. Anyone who has ever said that is full of it. This is quite possibly the best adjustable trigger made for a repeating rifle, let alone a bullpup. Installation is so easy a child could do it, and there probably are some that do. The trigger is fantastic on reliability and feel of pull. If you ever find yourself in the market for a desert tech mdrx, this trigger is a must have.
It’s hard to go wrong with an ak of any type, however most ak rifles tend to have trigger systems on the sloppier side. This trigger addresses this problem almost perfectly. The trigger installs much like an ordinary ak trigger with the exception of the springs. Once installed, the JARD trigger provides a truly spectacular ak shooting experience. This trigger is however flawed in its poor design on the safety. The JARD trigger uses an adjustable screw to engage the safety and requires thread locker in order to maintain engagement. This screw and it’s cut in the trigger are flimsy and broke while I was installing the screw. I now have a gun with no safety, which is not a large problem for me but presents a major safety hazard and could damage the rifle if it were to be fired while in the safe position.
