Very close to Wilcox mount.

Written on Oct 06, 2024

This mount is a very close representation of the Wilcox MK18 Mod 0 mount. Pair it with PRI quality for a solid Aimpoint ring mounting solution for the M18 Mod 0 clone build.

Awesome addition to my mil spec charging handle

Written on Sep 21, 2024

This is an excellent addition to a GI charging handle. A bit tedious to install, but is really worth it.

Excellent Mount [a bit heavy]

Written on Jul 15, 2024

This is an excellent mount, great quality, the anodizing is clear, and the mounting bolts are sturdy and high great steel. One thing that goes against it, is that it's just a bit on a heavy side.

Excellent Gloves.

Written on Jun 10, 2024

I love these gloves and this is my second pair. The first pair lasted me almost 2 years. They also seem to provide a nice heat shielding for hot handguards and are still very lightweight for hot weather. Too bad they seem to have discontinued the gray color.

The reticle is misshapen, oval not circle, and out of focus.

Written on Jun 10, 2024

First, I'd like to preface that I really wanted to like this one especially given all the favorable reviews on YouTube, etc. I have to say, I did when I first got it. It looks awesome on one of my AKs. It appears very robust and well-made and comes in nice packaging, though the battery is not included. The glass is VERY clear, the reticle is bright, the windage and elevation adjustment clicks are good and tactile, and the brightness adjustment wheel is also nicely executed. However, the one thing that was immediately apparent to me after powering up the PDS1 is that the 60 MOA circle reticle is not a circle at all, but a very well-pronounced oval stretched vertically. Another problem is that the reticle is badly out of focus, not grainy like you'd get with holographic sights like Eotech or UH-1, or jagged-like if you have astigmatism, but totally out of focus to the point where I can hardly make out the three BDC dots inside the circle. At the moment, it is not usable to me. I contacted Novus last week with no response to date.

The Shake Awake is not there

Written on May 11, 2024

It's a nice sight even though the sight lost zero becase the lateral mounting screw span off after firing of about 60 rounds. Although this could be mitigated by a drop of Vibra-Tite, the 100% deal breaker for me was the Shake Awake or the lack thereof. The dot does come back if the gun is motionless for half an hour or so... But if it sits longer, like overnight, the system just kills the dot, and you have to press the "+" button to turn the dot back on. A no go for me, because it is used on a night's stand gun. Sorry, I really...really wanted to like this red dot.
