Kudos to A3 Tactical!

Written on Feb 22, 2024

Kudos to A3 Tactical for offering INNOVATIVE/QUALITY foregrip options for B&T’s GHM9 Gen 2 Compact. At the end of the day, it’s just hard to find an ideal option for this platform for someone with extra large hands. But this is by far the best I’ve come across to date. Better, too, than A3’s angled foregrip (another great offering), at least for me. Even the longest option (3” foregrip) is short-ish for my hands. I can only get 3 fingers on the grip - just not enough room for the pinky. Also, for my specific model (B&T lower), my thumb feels somewhat crowded in between the foregrip and the magwell. I would have to imagine the more popular Glock lower would allow more thumb space. Quality, fit and finish are really great. If you’re working with this platform, and your hands are not XL, this may just be the ticket.

I can’t tell any difference ):

Installed this in a Glock G40 MOS Gen4. Now, this is not a very scientific review since I did not measure the before/after trigger pull weights. Judging by the seat of my pants, though, the trigger pull feels EXACTLY the same to me as it did before the install. Subsequently, I have evenly performed the “$0.25” trigger job (polishing); still no change. I don’t dispute that this item makes a difference in many or most instances, but any improvement in my case was non-existent to imperceptible. Perhaps success varies based on the specific model of firearm - ?

Fuzzy Pale Green “Dot”

Written on Jan 05, 2024

Eye doc says I have no astigmatism at recent exam. So that boilerplate explanation did not work for me. Dot was fuzzy/distorted at all brightness settings. Not nearly as crisp as the other optics I own, most of which cost less than half of the MRO. Also, the described “green” color of this dot is not at all what I expected. Eotech and Sig green are similar and “pop”. This Trijicon green appeared grayish/yellowish or faded. After good success with 2 prior RMR red dots, this MRO green dot was a deep disappointment. Thank goodness for Optics Planet’s outstanding return policy.
