TSC is just annoying.

Written on May 22, 2023

As soon as I put these in, I knew they were going to be annoying. The Tactical sound control picks up noises that you don’t want to hear, and will cover the Bluetooth. I was working on equipment, moving in and out of a loud environment. The TSC in on, the Bluetooth is audible, then off and all you can hear is ambient noise, then on and its audible then not. After about 5 minutes, I was ready to stomp these things.
So you may think, well I can use them for hunting or shooting. First the level of sound is amplified. if your talking or moving, or doing anything, the ambient sounds are LOUD. “Well that's good for hunting” you might say, Hear that big deer walking a 100 yards away.
Well if there is any type of breeze it sounds like someone blowing in your ear. Just incredibly annoying. And it will cover the Bluetooth too boot.
The only time I can image using these without wanting to smash them is if you were hunting in dead still weather, and your not moving at all (any movement you will hear your clothes) any wind and that's all you ll hear.
Or if you are constantly in a loud environment that will make the TSC engage. In which case there is no need for the TSC so save $150 get ear buds and put on hearing protection.
So if you want to spend $200 on a piece of equipment that will be frustrating all the time, accept for two rare situations, then you have money to blow, enjoy!

Cant do wht it claims.

Written on May 04, 2023

With an open bean filed off my back porch, ranged at 148 yards to the wood line, there is little ability to differentiate between a deer or coyote. The picture is, at best, unclear. The ranges quoted for this Monocular are highly exaggerated. Similar items half the price are probably just as clear. At 30-50 yards, it is good, but so is your standard night vision. I was warned that ATN commercial products were sub-par, and now I am stuck with it. This is not my first ATN product but it is the last.
