Eye relief is too tight. There is a weird refraction on the left side of the field of view. It doesn’t really hurt the performance like the tight eye relief though. If you’re wearing a helmet, the housing will bump against the front of your helmet since the eye relief is so tight. Also your rear sight will break off if you use this with your helmet often. Glass quality is ok, not great, not terrible. Best thing about this is overall construction quality and the reticle design. The 1 OR 4x option is innovative and a cool feature. I like the integrated back up iron sights on the top of the housing. Good engineering and concept, a little rough execution, most of that coming from too tight of eye relief/box and the not so great, not so bad glass.

Build quality is very nice. The padding is comfortable and the adjustment tab is easy to use. Simple to the point I don't feel like I'm lost using it. Only thing I would dock it on is the fact that its very long. I guess you could always cut material though.

As with all the Geissele products I have seen, this is a well engineered and manufactured part. The machining is clean, the finish is even, and the tolerances and the fit of the parts are excellent. This came with the tools necessary for install as well as a detailed installation manual. Even the roll pins for the gas tube was well thought and manufactured. Second to none

The product is as expected. Perhaps dated in 2020, but it's military grade (outdated and overpriced). I'm kidding about the outdated and overpriced part but the military is always slow to catch up to the civilian market and often get poor contracts despite signing the lowest bidder so am I really?

I know Colt has been inconsistent lately with their markings but mine came stamped with their cage code. Its not the colt "c" stamp, but I actually like the look of the cage code better. The anodizing is good, but the black dye didn't quite get into the internals giving it an ashy look inside. The upper is also does not have dry film lube on the inside. Neither is a big deal to me.

DD 10.3 w/ gas block

The product is as expected. the bore is chrome lined, the gas block comes pinned with a taper pin which I like. The barrel is dimpled (and parkerized over the dimple) to accept gas block set screws but the gas block does not come threaded to accept set screws so it installs via the taper pin alone. The barrel comes pre drilled for the taper pin, which is excellent. Wish the bore was a little smoother, but for a CHF, it's good.
