I now have two of these scopes and they are both outstanding scopes. I purchased them specifically for 240 and 257 Weatherby Magnum rifles. These rifles need a long scope because of their long actions. They fit perfectly without having to buy any special rings to get the correct eye relief. I would highly recommend a set of std. extra or super high mount windage adjustable rings and bases to mount this scope with. The reason for this is the horizontal adjustment is somewhat narrow in my opinion and if your scope drilling wasn't quite perfect you might not be able to get it to come in. I had no problem at all with my Weatherby mounting using the above centered as best as I could in the initial set up, but just a heads up to be aware of. Also my scopes have the German no. 4 reticule with the lighted dot which covers about 1/2" at 100 yd. This reticule with the dot gives you instant target acquistion and can't say enough good about it. Also Minox customer service has been great. Definitely a very high quality scope for the money. I learned about Minox from a friend and they are the worlds best kept secret, I'd never heard of them before. Bought one and immediately bought another after seeing the quality of the first one.
I now own 6 Vortex Viper scopes and this one is the best one yet. Having added the eluminated reticule puts it over the top for price versus quality. The image clarity at all powers is great. So much so that it out did my Leupold spotting scope so I sold it and replaced it with a Vortex Razor 11-33 spotting scope which also has outstanding glass. Now I'm one to one on clarity again. I see you have to wait up to 30 days to get one now. If so it is well worth the wait to get one.
Frustrated with something that was unknown to me about Weaver Tactical Rings is they don't fit all Picatinny rails.
The Tactical cross bolt is three sixteenths across the flats and the regular Weaver Picatinny rings are five thirty seconds across the cross bolt flats, no where that I see in the specifications is anything said about this difference. I don't have the so called Tactical Picatinney rail which I didn't know existed, so couldn't mount my scope rings. Will have to return/order more of the Regular Skeleton rings to mount my scope, so be aware all Picatinney rails are not the same.

I ordered & received the sun shade in good time. I had purchased a Sightron scope with a 50mm Objective lense earlier. Upon receiving the sunshade it was an easy install, just screw it on the scope 50mm Objective lense and done. No complaints and it does the job.
I would recommend this scope as a real value for the quality of optics that you get. In my opinion it is at least equal to a VX-3 or Viper in clarity. The lever that folds out for the power adjustment is a great feature for effortless changing of power settings. I now have two of these scopes and have no complaints. Even at the highest power setting the eye relief is still not critically sensitive. The one version that has the dot in the center covers a 1/4" at 100 yd. at 20 power and will be good for long range shots. The duplex cross hair is great, it falls between the standard duplex and fine duplex in thickness for a good long range scope as well. The only negative is it doesn't come with a sunshade which has to be purchased separately.
I would rate this spotting scope above average for the money. A good in between for performance and value. It has good clarity for use on a 100 yd. range to make out .17 cal. bullet holes. I was surprised that the scope body was plastic, but everything was solid and secure. It worked as advertised. I would recommend getting a good solid tripod to mount it on to keep it in place solidly at hi-power settings. A little wind can make for a shaky image. All in all it is an upgrade for me and I'm satisfied with its performance.
An excellent trigger that is easy to install and easy to adjust.
I have 3 of them on my rifles and all are perfect.
The only thing you might have to do is make some minor stock clearance adjustments when installing.
