I got the Hex dragonfly with my Springfield XD-M elite compact in .45. I only kept it on when I had it with me, which is non-working hours only. I turned it off when I got home. Battery lasted just over 2 months. The problem is you have to remove the optic to install a new battery, which means you have to re-zero it every 2 months or so. VERY disappointing. There are red dots out there with awake on shake (the dragonfly doesn't have that) and auto adjusting brightness (Dragonfly doesn't have that either) for just $30 more.
