Terrific improvement over standard foam like in camera cases, as well as pick & pluck foam. they require that you have the expert ability to perfectly cut the foam with an electric knife or can pluck out the exact size of the item that you want to protect. I can tell you that when you remove enough foam to fit your long range hunting rifle, there often isn't enough padding left to support the rifle. These closed cell foam blocks take up minimal room to provide an increased level of functional support of your equipment. A+ for whomever came up with this solution for a rifle case system sturdy enough for the heaviest rifles.

Haven’t been to the range yet, but I’ve checked the alignment with a long cleaning rod and it looks well centered. Opening at muzzle end is much larger than the caliber being used.

Will work with some non Glock magazines.

I have some Sig. and H & K magazines that also have the center hole in the base. Well made tool. I love the real avid line. They are sturdy and look good.
