Surefire’s EP7 ear protection works wonderfully. Well made and comfortable to wear. These are a great alternative to ear muffs that does not interfere with cheek weld.

I have been relying on Spikes Tactical for my AR parts for almost 15 years. They were my first AR purchase ever. Up until 2020 when most everyone’s quality control slid down hill, I had never had any issues with their products when it comes to fit and finish. Had a couple issues in the past year or so, but contacted Spikes and they took care of things with zero hassle. All that to say even though this charging handle is standard, it is well made and top quality.

I love this evolution of the A-series pistol grips. This is definitely the modern take of the standard AR-15 pistol grip that decreases the angle and beefs up the size while including the bottom protrusion that the A1 grips have. I actually like this feature for whatever reason. Going to be pairing it with Griffin's stock.

I have not gotten a chance to shoot this Lone Wolf barrel, but finish quality is immaculate. Plan is to use it for subsonic application. Also, great deal from OpticsPlanet! Will write a review again once I get some rounds through it.

The OZ-9 is my first experience with ZEV, and I am very pleased with the product. This grip module feels great in my large hands. The texturing makes for a good grip, and more importantly, the finger groove does not cut into the middle of my finger. I don’t know if I would get anything else from ZEV as I think most of the stuff they put out is overpriced for what it is, but good take on the 2011 for the Glock. And being able to switch out these grip modules with immense ease is a big plus.

Needed something inexpensive yet dependable for to go on my 5 year old son’s inexpensive Kel-Tec CP33. UTG’s design is very nice and smooth, and the finish quality is excellent. Better than some big name companies. The absolute co-witness is perfect height for my son’s cheek weld. Lastly, I love the design that UTG uses to mount on the picatinny. They make a rear sight with the same kind of mounting, and it beats a big nut sticking out on the side like LMT’s.

It is interesting that this product exists. Spikes made it for aesthetics, but it has come into practical use for me. I had an issue with my son’s Kel-Tec CP33 when trying to handle it like an AR, and that was the muzzle being right passed the area used as a “rail/handguard” making it unsafe to use that area of the CP33 as a rail/handguard. This Spikes fake can threads onto the the muzzle and makes things perfectly safe to now use the forward area of CP33 for support.

Magpul is Magpul. To start, I have pretty much turned to BCM for furniture as the grip is at the perfect angle, and the stock has one of the most solid lock-ups I have experienced when it comes to stocks. I decided to do a build with Magpul furniture and ordered the SL stock, but I accidentally ordered the commercial version. I was mad at myself at first for the dumb mistake, but I decided to try it out anyways as the commercial is just a hair bigger in diameter than Mil-Spec. Once installed I could not believe how tight the stock was on the buffer tube. It takes quite a bit of effort to adjust the length. I have handled many rifles with Mil-Spec SL stocks which is what I am basing my comparison off of. All-in-all the stock is just as, if not more, solid as my BCM stocks. Weird.

The Armaspec Sound Mitigation Buffer system is one of a kind. This company has provided real upgrades for the AR platform. The Gen 3 SMB is exactly what needed to happen with the SMB. The new captured system and harder rubber face addressed my main issues with the previous generations, mainly with repeated take down of the rifle. I do not know if the SMB holds a special niche over the BBS that Armaspec now offers, but I do like that the system is an option.

Sharps Bros SBUR03 is a great design. Sad to see them discontinued, but I get it; making the uppers compatible with more rails. The people with one star reviews are just ignorant. If you have an issue with the fit then contact the manufacturer first before writing a review. You cannot say their machining is inconsistent after buying 1 upper. And if the reviews were read before purchasing, although just looking at the BILLET upper would have said it all, there would be no reason to complain about hand guards not fitting. I would snag one of these up while they are still available if you plan on using an SLR rail for your build. Matches up very nicely.
