Hornady Critical Defense 12 Gauge 8-Pellet Buckshot

I run these in my MAC 1014, and they’re exactly the kind of performance I wish I had during my time in the Marine Corps. The issued buckshot we had back then was inconsistent, weak, and patterned all over the place. We were allowed to source our own ammo when needed, and Hornady was always the upgrade — and that hasn’t changed.

This load is phenomenal:

I also use this same load in conjunction with rifle slugs on my Benelli M4, and the consistency is unmatched. It’s comforting running the same type of ammo I trusted then, only now with modern manufacturing making it even better.

Hornady nailed it. This is my go-to buckshot, and it isn’t even close.

KIDD Innovative Design 10/22 Stainless Steel Muzzle Brake

I picked this brake up as part of a full top-to-bottom upgrade of my Ruger 10/22, pairing it with a new KIDD fluted and threaded barrel, and it is absolutely worth it. The machining is flawless — clean cuts, no chatter marks, perfect concentricity, and a fit that threads onto the barrel like it was custom made for it.

On the range, the performance is exactly what I expect from KIDD:
• Noticeably flatter shooting
• Reduced muzzle flip, even with bulk ammo
• Faster follow-up shots
• Minimal blast and zero shift in POI

The port layout actually works — no gimmicks, no wasted metal. It gives the rifle a more planted, stable feel during rapid fire, and the added weight up front helps with overall balance on the fluted barrel.

SIG SAUER Tango MSR LPVO — 1–6x & 1–10x Models

I now own two SIG Sauer Tango MSR LPVOs — the 1–6x on my Marlin 336 SBL, and the 1–10x on my AR-15 — and I can say with full confidence that SIG changed the entire LPVO game with this line.

The optic clarity across both models is outstanding. Edge-to-edge sharpness, zero fisheye effect at 1x, and clean resolution even when pushing magnification to the top end. Illumination is daylight-bright without bloom, the reticles are crisp, and the etched patterns stay sharp under recoil and movement. SIG’s glass coatings give real contrast — shadows, brush, and low light are all easy to read.

Mechanically, they’re rock solid.
• The included 1.535” mount locks up tight and actually holds zero through recoil, transport, and field use.
• The adjustment turrets track accurately with positive clicks.
• The throw lever is firm but smooth, with no play.
• And the eyebox is surprisingly forgiving — especially on the 1–10x, which is usually where budget optics struggle.

On my Marlin 336 SBL, the 1–6x is honestly perfect. It gives the rifle true 1x speed for close-range work, while still offering enough magnification to confidently stretch it out. Great pairing for a classic rifle brought into the modern world.

On my AR-15, the 1–10x completely changes what the rifle can do. The clarity at 10x and the fast acquisition at 1x really let the rifle flex into both CQB and mid-range precision without ever feeling compromised.

Midwest Industries Benelli M4 / MAC 1014 M-LOK Handguard

I installed this handguard on my MAC 1014 Breacher model, and it fit like a glove. Zero fuss, zero modification — just solid engineering from Midwest Industries. The fitment is tight with no movement at all, and the machining is every bit as clean and precise as higher-priced factory parts.

The extra M-LOK real estate completely changes what you can do with the platform. I was able to mount a weapon light, pressure switch, and sling point exactly where I needed them. The slimmer profile also feels way better in the hand compared to the stock furniture, and the heat dissipation is noticeably improved.

If you’re running a MAC 1014 and want to upgrade it into a truly modern defensive or range-ready shotgun, this handguard is absolutely worth it. Midwest Industries knocked this one out of the park.

The Real Avid Master Armorer’s Wrench is hands-down the best wrench I’ve ever used for rifle builds. This thing feels bombproof the moment you pick it up—heavy-duty steel, zero flex, and every tool head fits exactly the way it should. The torque engagement is tight and secure, and the geometry makes stubborn castle nuts or muzzle devices way easier to deal with.

I’ve used plenty of cheaper wrenches over the years, and none of them come close to the stability and control this one gives you. Real Avid absolutely nailed the balance between strength and precision. If you’re doing any amount of AR work—simple installs or full builds—this is the wrench you want on your bench.

I have always been a huge Hornady ammo guy for years but when I moved from Texas to Oklahoma I needed ammo that can handle Whitetail, to Wild board, to BlackBear and Elk. I really needed ammo that was tough, shoots flat and fast with amazing Ballistics. This ammo will be used mostly for my larger game / dangerous game. I still love my Hornady but this provides the extra punch I am looking for out of my Tikka T3X D18 .308.

I have been trying to turn my Glock into a Taran tactical clone for some time, and rhis is what I needed to make it happen. You do not need any slicing ticking equipment or anything just install and it’s ready to go.

Absolutely love this guide rod, I love the options on the different pound weights you get with this. This perfectly pairs with my Ram Jet w Afterburner.

The rise arm limit are a 242 sugar is an excellent drop in charger very easy to install, the only issue I had was actually nothing to do with the trigger, but with the weapon selector unit on my six hour was difficult to remove after 2 1/2 hours of finagling to get the selector removed because of a pin that holds it in place. It is now installed. I’m waiting on a new fire selector that’s coming in now to install it replace the factory one on there. I would highly recommend the Trigger it’s crisp it’s easy and overall very impressed.
