Big & Built To Last

Written on Jun 06, 2022

I waited quite a while to pull the trigger on this item, waiting for it to go on sale at a reduced price. With my discount and bonus bucks from Optics Planet, the time was right.

When the bag arrived and I pulled it out of the box, I was ever so slightly concerned that it might be a bit narrow for my needs. That is, until I unbuckled and unzipped everything and pulled all the sides out and up.

The bag is enormous. It is plenty long enough to fit an AR or two in the bottom, while having more than enough space for all your gear you bring to the range for a day of shooting or a weekend of hunting. I’ll use this for an upcoming move across country, but its primary use will be as a range bag.

What I hated about loading the truck was having to make so many trips back and forth because I had nothing big enough to carry it all out in one trip. That problem is now resolved thanks to the B3 Herc.
Zippers are strong, buckles are substantial. Construction is top notch. The rain cover is smartly stored in a pouch at the end of the bag, which is so handy. The rolling wheels make moving this piece around simple and convenient. Grab handles at both ends make lifting easy. Two included dividers with Velcro are a great idea to help keep things organized and separated.

looks good

Haven’t used it yet (no need), but it looks solid. Can’t say anything bad about it. Will update if something changes. It looks really sturdy, solidly built with quality materials.#FJB. Comes in a nice plastic tube for storage. Now I’m just typing more words so I make the 200-character minimum. There, that should do it.

Much Better than Competitors

Written on Nov 16, 2021

Overall, the build quality, feel, glass for the price range, finish and usability are excellent. It is much better than the Holosun magnifier in my opinion. I wish I could give this optic 4 1/2 stars because of this one thing: the focus dial offers very little correction. I have very good distance sight, but when emplying a twist on the dial, it changes the focus so minutely, it’s difficult to find true best focus. But ultimately, this is more of a very minor inconvenience, and the Micro 3X is a superior magnifier for your red dot sight. For around $225, it can’t be beat. I love that Optics Planet was willing to price match, too.
